About Misty

Misty’s consulting services include:

• Corporate consulting where the tools of astrology are used for strategic planning, marketing, organizational development, and organizational restructuring; and
• Personal consulting where the tools of astrology and tarot are used in the areas of personal development, coaching, and goal setting.

Misty brings a vast array of experience to her consulting. As a business owner in the DC metropolitan area since 1978, Misty has held several volunteer positions, such as the Co-Chair of the Small Business Committee for the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce and Commissioner on the Small and Disadvantaged Business Commission for Fairfax County government. She was awarded The President’s Volunteer Service Award for her work as a Master Gardener in Virginia. She has developed and taught business courses for The George Washington University and Northern Virginia Community College. She also held directorate positions in human resources and EEO with federal agencies.

As an astrologer since 1969, Misty is a Certified Astrological Professional (C.A.P.) with the International Society for Astrological Research (ISAR). She is a co-founder of The Midwest Astrology Conference and past president of both NCGR – Annapolis Chapter and the Astrological Association of Northern Virginia. She currently is the Membership Director for NCGR-Professional Astrologers’ Alliance (NCGR-PAA).

Misty’s writing credentials include publications and articles in both the astrological and business communities. She currently authors an annual publication, Trend Analysis. She has also authored two other books: Solutions (an instructional text on how to use Tarot cards for meditating on solving problems) and Time on Task (a time management book for educators). She is a columnist for Pathways magazine and has authored other articles for ISAR’s International Astrologer magazine, NCGR MemberLetter, and OPA’s Career Astrologer magazine. Misty is also a horticultural consultant and writes on horticultural topics. Two articles will appear in Llewellyn’s publications, Moon Signs 2010 and The Herbal Almanac 2010, scheduled for release in August 2009.

In addition to consulting and writing, Misty lectures internationally and teaches classes through various organizations. She has appeared on various television and radio programs aired in the United States, India, and the Middle East. Misty’s conference schedule includes: World Predictions Conference (Mumbai, India), NCGR National Conference, American Federation of Astrologers, Coptic Fellowship International, The Midwest Astrology Conference, OPA’s Astrologer’s Retreat, UAC, and local spiritual and astrological associations. She has taught classes through her own private school as well as The Institute for Spiritual Development, Arlington Metaphysical Chapel, and various school systems. She is currently a faculty member of Alphee Lavoie’s on-line college.
