There
are two important things to note during the month of September
2010. Mercury, which starts the month in retrograde motion, makes
no aspects to the outer planets during this month. It did not
make any aspects to outer planets during the month of August 2010.
In some ways this exaggerated the Mercury retrograde which began
on August 20, 2010 and will continue until September 12, 2010.
You may have found it difficult to communicate with other people.
You may have found it difficult to repair various mechanical,
technical, or electronic problems. In other ways, you may have
found it difficult to understand some of the things that were
happening in your environment or the greater world surrounding
you.
During the month of
September, not even the Sun, Venus, Mars, or Ceres make any aspects
to Mercury. Only the Moon will make aspects to Mercury. That means
on those few days, you’ll connect with your ability to speak,
but what you say may be very emotional and not necessarily what
is the wisest thing for you to say. Therefore, be very careful
during the following days: September 3; September 7; September
11; September 13; September 21; September 28; and September 29,
2010. Try not to let your emotions rule your thoughts. The better
way to use this energy is to meditate on what is emotionally important
to you and write them down in your journal.
Another important thing
is that the cardinal crisis is over. It will be easier for you
to feel connected with your goals. It’ll be easier for you
to pull back and not react to the various negative situations
which may surround you. If you felt stymied or blocked, you’ll
feel a release from those emotions.
With Mars forming a
sextile to Ceres on September 3rd, you’ll be able to understand
the importance of nurturing your actions. You’ll be able
to resolve any conflicts with friends. If you felt that others
weren’t taking your values seriously, you’ll understand
their concerns.
This understanding
will continue on September 4th, as Venus forms a trine to Neptune
retrograde and on September 5th, as Venus forms a trine to Chiron
retrograde. These are healing days. Any fears that you experienced
will dissipate. You’ll be able to understand why those fears
surfaced and why they are no longer valid. You’ll also understand
how to take your fears and move beyond them so they don’t
interfere with any plans you want to make in your life. You may
feel like you need to make some adjustments on September 7th,
when Venus forms a quincunx to Uranus, but at least you’ll
find a way to resolve any conflicts. Just be very careful with
your finances between September 4th and 7th as there are many
unknown factors which could prevent you from making good decisions.
Even the stock market will prove erratic on these days due to
the economic picture as it relates to the workforce.
The new Moon, with
both Sun and Moon in Virgo, occurs on September 8th and emphasizes
the need for you to consider your health and well-being. Venus
enters Scorpio a little after the new Moon occurs and is not comfortable
in this sign. Venus is actually in its detriment in Scorpio. This
means that you’ll feel emotions more intensely. You’ll
want to hold on to things. Once again some fears may surface.
It’s very important if fears surface that you don’t
hold on to them. Let them go.
The 9th of September
is very important because Jupiter in its retrograde motion re-enters
Pisces. Jupiter initially entered Pisces on January 18, 2010 and
remained there until June 6, 2010. It entered Aries for several
months. Now Jupiter returns to Pisces until January 22, 2011.
When Jupiter enters
Pisces, it enters one of its own signs. In addition to ruling
Sagittarius, a fire and mutable sign, Jupiter rules Pisces, a
water and mutable sign. The mutability of Jupiter makes sense
because there is a need for flexibility when dealing with the
larger world and greater good. The rulership of Jupiter for Sagittarius
may seem counterintuitive since Sagittarius is a fire sign. However,
Jupiter was a thunder-god who could throw bolts of lightening,
a form of primitive fire. One could also say that the rulership
of Jupiter for Pisces is also counterintuitive because Pisces
is a water sign. However, Jupiter was revered by the agricultural
communities of Italy because he could control the amount of rainfall
from the sky.
Historically, Jupiter
in Pisces relates to changes in currency value and the actual
use of currency in society. This is already seen in how you pay
your bills. You can pay them online. You can utilize automatic
withdrawals. You can use debit cards for purchases instead of
check writing. Eventually, the use of checks and even cash may
fall by the wayside. However, with these new conveniences come
increased costs to the merchant which indirectly affects the amount
of money that you pay for purchases.
There will also be
changes as they impact the Euro zone. These changes may not seem
to matter to individuals living in the United States, but they
will. Not everything was considered when the Euro was created.
Each country was still in control of its own economy and how it
relates to the value of the Euro. The question continues during
this time period. Will economically strong companies need to prop
up the countries with weaker economies in order to assure the
value of the Euro? Finally, there is a push to change how China
values its Yuen. Many economists believe that by changing the
way that China values the Yuen, the purchasing power of its people
will increase. Items made in China may increase in price, but
many economists believe that other countries will be able to sell
more products to China because their population wants to purchase
more products. However, the belief of economists is based on how
economics operate in Europe and the United States and not in China.
Their logic is flawed.
Historically when Jupiter
is in Pisces, education and technology is emphasized. The union
of these two means better educational opportunities for various
individuals. The number of online colleges will grow. More traditional
universities will utilize online classes to increase the number
of students. Therefore, if you are interested in education, you’ll
find more opportunities. This will even extend to various conferences
which could occur over the internet. You’ll find that you
can attend conferences without having to spend the money for travel,
hotel, and other expenses.
Government leaders
will need to be cautious when Jupiter re-enters Pisces. There’s
a tendency for leaders to exhibit hubris in their attitudes. They
believe what they are doing is right, no matter what the consequences.
As a result, more leaders make mistakes which either remove them
from office or, in those cases where party affiliation is involved,
injure their own parties.
Agriculture and gardening
is an important area to watch when Jupiter is in Pisces. Insecticides
came into greater use during this cycle. Now government agencies
are studying the impact of various pesticides. Concern over world
hunger is resurfacing. The desire to find ways to work with the
ecosystem in a balanced approach is being promoted. Even chemical
companies are releasing more products which are organic and use
herbs, such as cloves or peppermint, as main ingredients to control
or kill insects. As a consumer wishing to use fewer chemicals
in your home, you’ll find more alternatives available.
Mars forms a trine
to Neptune retrograde not that long after Jupiter re-enters Pisces
on September 9th and it forms a trine to Chiron retrograde on
September 11th. These are days of healing relationships. However,
these are not days to negotiate major purchases. You won’t
have all the facts and you’ll let your emotions rule your
decisions.
On September 12th,
Venus forms a sextile to Pluto retrograde just before Mercury
in Virgo turns direct. There are several ways that you can use
the energies of this day. You can take time to review your finances
and see where you need to make changes. You can look at your home
and see if you need to make improvements. You can review your
daily routine and see if changes need to be made so you can have
a healthier life. This is a very personal day and one of introspection.
On the following day,
September 13th, you may want to make some adjustments to your
daily routine since Mars forms a quincunx to Uranus retrograde.
Don’t be surprised if someone from your past re-enters your
life. It is a good time to make amends. At the same time, be careful
with signing any legal documents. You may feel under pressure
and this is not a good day for decisions which have long-term
consequences. There are too many factors still in flux.
On September 14th,
Pluto turns direct and Mars enters Scorpio. Since Pluto moves
so slowly, you may not feel its change of direction immediately.
All you will feel is more resolve to get things accomplished.
On the other hand, you may be feeling this resolve because Mars
has entered Scorpio. Mars is very comfortable in the sign that
it rules. There’s an intensity of purpose which occurs.
You aren’t willing to be manipulated by other people. At
the same time, make certain that your intensity of purpose doesn’t
cut you off from listening to others. They may have something
of value to offer.
Approximately every
14 years Jupiter forms a conjunction to Uranus. This cycle usually
occurs in a series of three and does so again on September 18th.
The first time this cycle occurred was on June 8, 2010. The last
time this cycle will occur at this time will be January 4, 2011.
Both Jupiter and Uranus are planets that embrace change. The future
is more important than the past. Therefore, there is a danger
that change is taken without any regard for its consequences.
Often the lessons that can be learned from the past are forgotten.
It’s very important that as you seek ways to move into the
future, you don’t forget to incorporate what you’ve
learned from the past.
Economically this is
a rough time period because historically inflation is a problem.
The value of money starts to decline. Problems in manufacturing
tend to surface. If safety measures aren’t considered in
the development of a product or service, accidents or recalls
occur. In the past those accidents and recalls surrounded automobiles
and food products. Also, the stock market becomes very erratic
as it reacts instantly to any news which the public views as negative.
Weather patterns tend
to be very erratic when Jupiter (in this case retrograde) forms
a conjunction to Uranus (in this case also retrograde). The hurricane
season tends to be worse and floods tend to occur more often.
If you live in an area that tends to get hit with hurricanes,
make certain that you pay close attention to weather forecasts
and do what is necessary to maintain your safety. The same is
true if you live near a low flood plain. Again, pay close attention
to weather forecasts and plan accordingly.
The autumnal equinox,
as it is called in the northern hemisphere, occurs on September
22nd when the Sun enters Libra. This date marks the halfway point
for the astrological year. It’s a time for meditation and
reflection, especially in the area of relationships.
When you look at the
chart of the autumnal equinox, no matter which city you set it
up for, the Sun forms a square to Pluto. This means that you really
need to look at your value systems. It also means that you need
to understand what you want in life so that you aren’t easily
manipulated by other people.
The Moon in this chart
forms a conjunction to the Jupiter retrograde/Uranus retrograde
conjunction with occurred a few days earlier. Again it’s
important that as you consider your future you don’t repeat
past mistakes. You may feel emotionally ready to make changes
but you need to consider all the facts. Are you reacting to situations?
Are you creating your own situations? Would it be better to wait
a little while before you make the changes? If you don’t
have the answers to those questions, you are better off waiting
a little while longer before you implement any actions.
This need to wait is
really emphasized by the full Moon that occurs the following day,
September 23rd. The Moon is in Aries and forms a square to Pluto
as well as an opposition to Saturn. The Sun is in Libra and forms
a square to Pluto as well as a conjunction to Saturn. Basically,
this full Moon creates a cardinal T-square which may bring back
memories of July and August 2010 when the cardinal crisis was
in full swing. What this means is that you may be tempted to just
walk away from situations. If you do, it could be to your detriment.
It also means that you can pick up the intense feelings that other
people have and misinterpret them as your feelings. The key is
found in the sign of Cancer. Take time to nourish yourself. Spend
time with your family and friends. Accept that feeling secure
is important and finds ways to experience that feeling.
As the month ends,
Ceres forms a number of aspects. On September 24th, Ceres forms
a sextile to Neptune retrograde. On September 26th, Ceres forms
a sextile to Chiron retrograde. And, on September 28th, Ceres
forms a square to Jupiter retrograde.
Ceres is the goddess
of agriculture and also the representation of motherhood. During
the last few days of the month, spend some time outside where
you can enjoy the weather and re-connect with the earth, especially
between September 24th and September 28th. You’ll find this
can be a very healing experience for you.
Be cautious on September
28th when Ceres forms the square to Jupiter retrograde because
it could bring accidents or some unexpected events into your life.
However, it you need to find ways to move ahead in life, this
day will be one where you can understand your plans even if you
don’t want to implement them at this time.
